California artist Brian Blood is one of this country's best and most widely collected plein air painters. Brian has been a professional artist for more than 25 years, taught for more than a decade in the Fine Art Department at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He is a Signature Member of the Oil Painters of America, The Northern California Painters Group and the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters. Brian is also a member of the California Art Club. Feature articles have been published in Southwest Art, Art of the West, Artists Magazine, Coast Magazine and American Artist. Brian was honored as Outstanding Alumnist awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Events and exhibitions have included the Monterey Museum of Art, Winner, Best of Show, San Louis Obispo Plein Air Competiton, Winner of both the People's Choice and Artist's Choice Awards at the Carmel Art Festival, Winner of the Landscape Award of Excellence, Greenhouse Gallery Salon in San Antonio, TX, Winner of the Jack Richardson Award of Excellence, Oil Painters of America National Exhibition in Kirkland, WA.
