Laurie Kersey - "La Jolla Cove Beach" Laurie received her early art education from the Chatauqua Institution in Chatauqua, NY, and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. After a fifteen-year career in commercial art, as an Art Director and Illustrator on the East Coast, she relocated to San Francisco and studied painting at the Academy of Art University. She has since taught in the Fine Art Department at the Academy, as well as conducting private workshops. She has been covered in Plein Air Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine, American Artist Magazine, USArt Magazine, and has been a first place winner in the Artist's Magazine's Annual Competition.
